The chef Maca de Castro is already known as the winner of a Michelin star restaurant in Port Alcudia. The former 19th-century waiting hall impresses with high wood-beamed ceilings, an open show kitchen and a cool design. The menu is clear but well thought out and stocked for all meat, fish and vegetarian lovers. The simple dishes offer authentic Mediterranean cuisine, and the fresh, local produce comes from Maca de Castro’s sustainable farm. The ‘orchard of Mallorca’ is in Sa Pobla and that’s where the Andana’s larder is. When we visited the Andana with clients recently, we tasted our way through the interesting-sounding menu and tried, for example, granny’s fried eggs, roasted cauliflower with chilli sauce and cardamom, steamed artichoke from the kamado refined with mint and peanut, the steak tartare or even the winter vegetables - all dishes were excellent and skilfully prepared and the service was very attentive and friendly.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” el_class=”carussel1″][vc_column el_class=”carussel2″]

The large windows let in plenty of natural light and the d\u00e9cor also features an intriguing selection of lamps, cosy wooden tables and bold walls. The Andana is far from a restaurant you’d normally find at train stations but of course it has nothing to do with a Michelin star experience.
