If you have a driver&#8217;s license with an expiration date, you do not have to exchange it until it expires. For all other residents who still have a driver&#8217;s license without expiration date and live longer than 2 years in Spain have to exchange it. You can have your driving license rewritten in the transport authority &#8220;Tr\u00e1fico&#8221;. For this you need a medical confirmation that you are able to drive a motor vehicle. To receive this confirmation, you have to make an appointment at the &#8220;Centros de Reconocimiento de Conductores&#8221;.<br \/>\nA fine of \u20ac 200 must be paid if you habe an unlimited diver&#8217;s license and if you are stopped by the police.
