The new foodfriends app<\/strong> keeps you informed. A new service for all foodies: the free download of the foodfriends app on your smartphone. For finding the best restaurants and invite other foodfriends to share the table. The foodfriends App is starting on Mallorca at the end of september 2016 and will be available in the App Store. Founders and editors are german Mallorca-residents Anja and Jan Marks. The local journalist and the marketing manager are passionate about everything related to good food, cooking and restaurants. They also travel a lot, and always missed an easy to access, up to date restaurant guide for finding new places. And which would even allow to contact local foodies, for real insider tips or nice company at the table. That\u2019s how the idea of creating the foodfriends App was born. It provides you with news from Mallorcas gastro scene, gives you a red hot restaurant guide with perfect descriptions and good fotos, and allows you not only to easily reserve a table, but also to meet new, interesting people. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile the App contains descriptions and fotos of more than 200 specially selected restaurants on Mallorca. You\u2019ll find everything from Michelin-Star restaurants to typical mallorcan pubs, beach clubs or Palmas culinary hotspots. And foodfriendss is constantly looking for and trying brand new places. Imposible to find a more up-to-date restaurant guide on Mallorca. A Facebook page and the foodfriends blog is completing the app, providing followers with the latest news and trends about food-related topics on Mallorca. This is how the foodfriends app work: just register, create your profile, look for a restaurant and other foodfriends and meet people for a nice meal. That can be your friends or other foodfriends users, which can be found by selecting gender, age, hobbies, favorite food, languages etc. \u201eThe better the profile is you create of yourself, the more likely it will be to receive nice invitations\u201c, assures Jan. <\/p>\n

\u201eWhat are you actually, a restaurant app or a social app?\u201c This is a common question to the foodfriends founders. And the answers is: both! Exactly like the users, the foodfriends makers also lay different emphasis on the gastronomic and the social component of the app. That\u2019s the good thing about foodfriends: you can use it either way or both. \u201eWe want our users to always know whats going on, to be able to find the best places even before they come to Mallorca, and to reserve a table in time\u201c, explains Anja.
